How to make Wheat Idiyappam?

Wheat Idiyappam | Kothumai Idiyappam
Wheat is good for diabetes. Diabetic people eat chapati and wheat rava upma regularly. For a change i made wheat idiyappam with wheat. It is good for health because it is a steamed recipe. Wheat idiyappam is good for diabetes also.

Ingredients:
Dry roasted wheat  flour – 1cup
Salt – to taste
Water – as required

Method:
Dry roast wheat in a pan till nice aroma comes and slightly puffed up. Grind it in the rice mill.
Add salt and mix it well.

Add plain water little by little and make a smooth dough.

Fill the dough in the idiyappam press . Make idiyappam in the idli steamer.

Steam cook for 10 minutes. Serve with sambar.

Note:
we can make vegetable idiyappam also.
Don’t use hot water.
