Aval Laddu Recipe Poha Ladoo recipe

Aval is very important Neivedyam for gokulashtami. Lord Krishna likes aval very much. I already posted aval payasam recipe. Now I made aval laddu for Aval vikadan magazine Gokulashtami recipes. It is very simple and tasty ladoo with easily available ingredients. I made it with sugar. You can make it with jaggery also.
Now let us see how to make

Ingredients:

  • Thick aval(poha) – 1 cup
  • Sugar – ½ cup
  • Ghee – ¼ cup
  • Cashew – 3
  • Raisin – 8
  • Cardamom – 2

Method:

Dry roast aval in a pan till nice aroma comes. Keep aside to cool down. Grind it in a mixer nicely. Add sugar and cardamom in a mixer and grind nicely. Fry cashew and raisin in little ghee. Melt ghee. Add aval powder, sugar powder, fried cashew raisin and melted ghee in a bowl. Mix well and make balls when it is warm.

Note:
You can use any nuts of your choice.
You can use red aval also.
You can use jaggery or country sugar also.
