Corn fritters is a snack item. It can be prepared easily with few ingredients. It is same as vada.
Let us see how to make corn fritters
- Sweet corn – 1 Cup
- Rice flour – ½ cup
- Maida – 2 tblsp
- Corn flour – 2 tblsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – for frying
- To Grind:
- Red chilli – 3
- Small onion – 6
- Garlic cloves – 6
- Coriander – 1 sprig
Cut corn kernels from the cob. Peel small onion and garlic. Grind red chilli, small onion, garlic and coriander coarsely in the mixie.
Add rice flour, maida, corn flour, salt, corn and ground paste in a bowl. Mix well. Add water little by little and knead a smooth dough.
Heat oil in a pan, and make the dough into small vadas and fry in the oil.
Fry both the sides till the sound subsides. Serve hot with tomato sauce and chilli sauce.
I did not cook the corn kernels, some corns poped up.
You can cook the corn and make or else you can keep away from the pan.
