Some of them include sakkaravalli kizhangu poriyal in their Thai Pongal Menu. It is very easy to make and good to taste. We eat as a snack also. It is good for growing childrens.
Let us see how to make
- Sakkaravalli Kizhangu – 1
- Red chilli – 1
- Curry leaves – few
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Mustard – ¼ tsp
- Urad dal – ¼ tsp
Cut sakkaravalli kizhangu in to round pieces. Cook sakkaravalli kizhangu with salt in the pressure cooker for one sound. Drain the water. Heat oil in a frying pan and add mustard, redchilli and urad dal. When they crackle add curry leaves and add cooked sakkaravalli kizhangu and stir well and serve.
You can add green chilli instead of red chilli for seasoning.
If you want you can add grated coconut also.
If you want you can cut into small cubes.
