Rasam Powder is a easy recipe with just five ingredients. You can make it in the free time and store it in an air tight container and use for a month or two. It is handy for every one. You can make instant rasam with this podi in a few minutes. You can mix 2 tsp of rasappodi in one cup of water and add tomato puree coriander leaves and salt and boil for a few minutes. Your instant rasam will be ready. This will serve as a soup also. Rasam is a good digestive tonic.
There are number of recipes in rasam. I don’t make rasam often because my son doesn’t like. So I make rasam once in a while. Now see the recipe
- Coriander seed – 1/2cup
- Pepper – 1/4 cup
- Jeera – 1/4 cup
- Tuvar dal – 1/2 cup
- Red chilli – 10
Dry roast all the ingredients in a pan separately. Mix all together and grind it in a mixie.
