Pav Bhaji is a Maharashtrian dish originated in Mumbai. It is a fast food dish. Pav bhaji is a spicy preparation with a mixture of vegetables and butter. It is native to Mumbai and is now popular through out India. Pav means bread, Bhaji means vegetarian side dish. It is easy to make and it is a good snack recipe for the kids.

Let us see how to make Pav Bhaji
Ingredients:
- Potato (medium) – 4
- Capsicum – 1/2
- Onion – 2
- Tomato – 2
- Peas – 2 tblsp
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Oil – 3 tbl sp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Pav Baji powder – 2 tsp
- Salt – To taste
- Butter – 2 tblsp
- Coriander – 3 tblsp
- Lemon juice – 2 tblsp





Method:
Chop onion, tomato and capsicum finely.
Heat oil and butter in a pan and add onion, and saute well. Add ginger garlic paste and saute well till its raw smell goes.
Then add capsicum and tomato one by one and saute well. Add salt, chilli powder and Pav Bhaji powder and stir well.Cook the potatoes and peel, and mash it well.
Cook peas with little salt and mash it. Add mashed potato and cooked peas.
Add one cup of water and bring to boil. Mash it well. When the Baji becomes thick switch of the stove. Sprinkle chopped coriander and lemon juice over it.
Then place little butter on the top and serve hot with pav buns toasted with butter.


Note:
You can add cauliflower, carrot also.
You can add pav bhaji masala powder according to your taste.
