Paasi payaru is known as green gram in English. Compared to other legumes, it is very good for health. Earlier we have seen Pesarattu made with green gram. Now let us see how to make paasi payaru sundal.
- Green gram – 1 cup
- Grated coconut – 3 tablespoon
- Salt – To taste
- Oil – 2 teaspoon
- Mustard – 1/2 teaspoon
- Urad dal – 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chilli – 2
- Asafoetida – 1 pinch
- Curry leaves – few
Soak green gram for 2 hour. Then cook green gram in the pressure cooker and drain the water.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard, urad dal, red chilli, asafoetida and curry leaves.
Then add cooked green gram, grated coconut stir well and serve.
Don’t overcook the paasi payaru.
