Ragi Idli is a simple Millet recipe that is made with Ragi is known as Finger Millet in English. This Ragi Idli recipe is a easy to make steam cooked South Indian Millet recipe that can be made easily at home with minimum ingredients.

- Ragi -1 Cup
- Urad Dal – ¼ Cup
- Fenugreek – 1 Tsp.
- Salt – 1 Tsp.
Wash and soak Ragi, Urad Dal and Fenugreek for 3 hours. Grind finely with salt. Mix well and ferment for about 8 hours.
Then grease idli plate with little oil, pout the batter and steam cook for 15 minutes. Take out when fully cooked.
Serve hot with sambhar and chutney.
For small quantities soak together and grind together.
For larger quantities soak Ragi separately and Urad dal with Fenugreek. Grind separately.
If necessary you can cover the idli plate with cloth before pouring batter.
