Mango Shrikhand is a traditional maharashtrian dessert. It is famous in Mumbai. It is an easy recipe we can make it in 10 minutes. But the only thing is to make the hung curd is time taking. They use chiroli nuts for this recipe. I did not have chiroli nuts. So I used almond and pistachio.
Now it is the mango season. So you can try this recipe.
Let us see how to make Mango Shrikhand
- Mango – 1
- Sugar – 4 tblsp
- Curd (yogurt) – 1 ½ cup
- Cardamom powder – 2 pinch
- Saffron – few
- Almond – 4
- Pistachio – 4
Hung the curd in clean cloth till the water content drained. Peel and chop the mango. Grind the mango and sugar in the mixie. Add hung curd, mango pulp, cardamom powder and saffron in a bowl and mix it well (if you want more sweet you can add sugar in this stage). Chop almond and pistachio finely. Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron. Refrigerate and serve chill.
