I explained to you in my earlier post, this week, about how to make homemade paneer. If you have missed it you can always CLICK HERE and see. (It will only open in the next tab and it will not disturb you)
In the earlier post about how to make homemade paneer I was just telling about cutting the paneer into square pieces, is it not? There are some recipes which you can make out of the square solid paneer cubes and also there are some recipes which you can make out of the left out cutting waste. So you need not worry about the paneer which is not square, we will do something with that too.
Now coming to Tawa Paneer you take the nice square pieces only and you can make it just like that in a few minutes. It will serve as a wonderful side dish for Paratha, Naan, Chappathi or even Dosa, especially for the dinner. Now let us get started.

Ingredients:
- Paneer – 200 grams
- Onion -2
- Tomato -1
- Capsicum – 1
- Green chilli – 2
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Coriander – 1/4 cup
- Cumin – 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – as required
To Marinate:
- Lime juice – 2 tsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Salt – to taste

Method:
Marinate the paneer with lemon juice, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Toss lightly and keep aside for at least 30 minutes.
Dice capsicum and tomato. Slit green chillies. Cut the ginger lengthwise. Slice onions thinly. Heat oil in a tawa and add cumin. Then add green chillies, onion and capsicum one by one and saute. After a few minutes, add tomato and saute. Then add all powders. Mix well and cover the tawa with lid. Open the lid and add the marinated paneer. Mix lightly and avoid breaking paneer into pieces. Close the tawa and cook for about 5 minutes so that the paneer absorbs the aroma of the masala. Garnish with coriander and serve.
