Summer has begun. All are on the lookout for juices, ice creams and popsicles to quench the thirst and cool them. So let us see some simple squash recipes which can be made easily at home and can be used all through the summer. Now let us see how to make this Grape Syrup









Ingredients:
- Thick Grape Juice – 2 cups(500 gms)
- Water – 2 cups
- Sugar – 4 cups(500 gms approximately)
- Citric acid – ½ tsp
- Tonovin essence – ¼ tsp(optional)






Method:
Wash the grapes well. Grind in the mixer. Strain and take the thick juice. Add water and citric acid to the sugar and boil for 15 minutes (pisukku patham). Allow it to cool. Strain the sugar syrup. Mix sugar syrup and grape juice well. Store in sterilized glass bottles.
Whenever you want juice, you can add ¼ cup of syrup in a glass and add ¾ cup of water and mix well. Add ice cubes and mix it well and serve.






Note:
If you want you can add citric acid or juice of half lime.
you can store in the fridge.It is good for three months in the fridge.
You can make popsicle and granita with this syrup or squash.
If you want more juice and colour you can cook grapes for 5 to 10 minutes.
If you want you can add tonovin essence.
