As I was telling you in my earlier post on Homemade Paneer about the cutting waste, while cutting the paneer squarely, here is a recipe to use that cutting waste Paneer.
In other words it is called Bhurji in Hindi meaning scrambled or crumbled. If you have missed my post on homemade paneer you can CLICK HERE and see how to make Homemade Paneer. As Homemade Paneer is always better, nutritious and tasty, I prefer making Paneer at Home. You can also try, it is simple and tastes good. It is economical too.
Paneer Bhurji is an ideal recipe to go along with Bread or any Indian main course. In North India it is usually taken in the morning along with bread, especially in regions where more milk and milk products are consumed, like Agra, Madhura, etc,.
You can make this on the go and it tastes wonderfully well. Kids would love to eat, either morning or evening as breakfast or snacks.
Ingredients:
- Crumbled Paneer – 200 gms
- Tomato – 1
- Onion – 1
- Green chilli -2
- Coriander – 2 tblsp
- Jeera powder (Cumin)- ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Turmeric – ¼ tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Jeera(cumin) – ½ tsp
- Olive Oil – 2 tblsp









Method:
Chop onion, tomato, coriander, and green chilli, finely.
Dry roast the cumin seeds and powder. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
When they crackle add onion, green chilli and tomato and sauté well.
Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder and salt. Saute till the raw smell goes. Then add crumbled paneer and sauté.
Add coriander and saute few more seconds and serve.
Note:
If you want you can add ginger garlic paste while sauting onions.
If you want you can add 1/4 tsp garam masala powder.
