Potato Roast is a modified form of Potato Masala or Curry except for the crispness. This is a side dish mostly made in all Chettinad. The crispness and the spicy taste are unique and kids like the most. The taste of Potato Roast depends on the natrre of the Potatoes. If you select the fresh, larger ones it will taste too good.
Potato Roast is a common Side dish and is common in all Homes. Potato Roast is easy to make and can be made with a lot of variations to suit your taste.
Come let us see how to make Potato Roast
- Small potato – ¼ kg
- Sambar powder – 1 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt – to taste
- Oil – 2 to 3 teaspoon
Soak the potato in the water for ten minutes and wash. Cut the potato into wedges.
Heat the oil in the frying pan and add the potatoes and sauté. Then add sambar powder and salt and sauté well.
Then cover the pan with a lid till the potatoes are done. Open the lid and stir well and serve. Serve with lemon rice, coconut rice or curd rice.
You can add red chilli powder instead of masala powder.
