Chettinad Chicken Kulambu is a easy and tasty chettinad chicken recipe, which is ideal for tiffin or lunch or dinner. It goes well with idli, dosa or rice. Chettinad Chicken Kulambu is also known as Chettinad Chicken Curry or Chettinad Chicken Gravy.
Ingredients:
- Chicken – 300 gram
- Small onion – 10
- Garlic cloves – 6
- Chilli powder – 3 tsp
- Coriander powder – 2 tsp
- Oil – 2 tbl sp
- Salt – To taste
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp






To Grind:
- Coconut – 3 tbl sp
- Cumin seed – 1 tsp
- Fennel seed – 1 tsp
- Pepper – ¾ tsp
- Small onion – 10
- Garlic cloves – 6
- Ginger – 1 inch
- Cinnamon – 1 inch
- Tomato – 1
To marinate
- Chilli powder – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Ginger garlic paste – ½ tsp
- Salt – ½ tsp
- Lime – 1 tsp






Method:
Clean and wash the chicken. Marinate the chicken it for half an hour. Peel small onion and garlic. Cut small onion into two. Grind the ingredient (given under to grind) in a mixie. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add clove, cinnamon and curry leaf. Then add small onion and garlic and sauté. Add marinated chicken and sauté for a few minutes. Add ground paste, chilli powder, coriander powder and salt and stir well. Add required amount of water and close the cooker and cook for one whistle. Open the cooker when the steam subsides and boil for few minutes. Serve hot with rice.
