Cabbage Thoran is known as cabbage poriyal in Tamil Nadu. It is go well with rice with sambar and rasam. It is very easy to make.
Ingredients:
- Cabbage – 200 gms
- Onion – 1
- Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Coconut – 2 tblsp
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Mustard – ¼ tsp
- Jeera – ¼ tsp
- Red chilli – 2






Method:
Chop cabbage and onion finely. Break red chilli. Heat oil in a frying pan and add mustard, jeera and red chilli. When they crackle add onion and saute.Then add cabbage, turmeric powder and salt. Stir often and cover the pan with a lid.Open the lid and stir often or else cabbage will stick on the bottom of the pan. Finally add grated coconut mix well .
