- Sugar – 2 tbsp (for rolling)
- Oil – for frying
- For sugar syrup
- Sugar – 1/2 Cup
- Water – 1/2 Cup
- Cardamom powder – A pinch
- Rose Essence – 1/4 tsp

Method:
Cut off the edges of the bread slice and take the middle portion only. Dip bread slices in milk and squeeze out excess milk. Knead the bread slices into smooth dough without lumps. Do not press much. Knead softly. If pressed, the gulab jamun will become lumpy and hard.
Roll this dough into small balls of required sizes. Fry the rolled balls until golden brown in oil. Put the stove on medium flame and fry, otherwise the outside will burn out and the inside will not be cooked.

Put the sugar in a bowl, add water and cardamom powder and let it boil till it becomes viscous. Then add rose essence.
Then add the fried jamuns. After two hours take out the jamuns and roll in the sugar till it becomes dry. Now the Dry bread Gulab Jamun is ready.
