Avocado is called as Butter Fruit in India. Avocado Sandwich is also known as Butter Fruit Sandwich. It is green during its tender stage. When it is ripe it turns into black purple colour. If the fruit is ripe then the outercover (peel) can easily be peeled off. This fruit is good for diabetes. It tastes like tender coconut. I tried this for the first time. When I got this fruit it was green in Colour. I kept it in the rice drum to ripe. It took one week to ripe.
Avocado Sandwich is yummy to taste. Nowadays i am a big fan of avocado fruit.When we recently went to kothagiri and coonoor for summer vacation i bought one kg of avocado and brought it to chennai. I kept it for about 15 days and allowed it to ripen. All the seven fruits riped very well and i tried many recipes out of these avocadoes.


Ingredients:
- Avocado – 1 ripe
- Onion – ½
- Garlic clove – 1
- Tomato – ½
- Green chilli – 1
- Coriander – 2 tbsp
- Lime juice – 3 tsp
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper powder – ½ tsp
- Bread – 4 slice
- Ghee or Oil – 2 tsp


Method:
Peel avocado and mash it well. Chop onion, garlic, tomato, green chilli and coriander finely.
Squeeze the lime and take 3 tsp. Add mashed avocado, chopped vegetables, lime juice, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix it well.



Cut the edges of the bread.
Spread avocado dip over the bread slice and close it with other slice. Toast it in the dosa tawa with little ghee. Serve hot with any juice. I serve with amla juice.
